Entry Criteria

  • Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have successfully completed their GCE Advanced Level (A/L) with a minimum of 2 passes, preferably in subjects related to commerce, tourism, or business studies.
  • English Proficiency: A minimum of a C pass in English at GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) or an equivalent qualification is required. Alternatively, an IELTS score of 5.5 or above is acceptable.
  • Foundation Program: Candidates without the required A/L passes but who have completed a recognized foundation program in hospitality, tourism, or a related field may also be considered for entry.
  • Mature Student Entry: Applicants over the age of 21 with at least 2 years of work experience in the hospitality, tourism, or service industry can apply through the mature student entry route.
  • Personal Statement: Submission of a personal statement expressing the applicant’s passion for hospitality and tourism, career objectives, and reasons for choosing this HND program.

Duration

The HND in Hospitality and Tourism is designed to be completed over a minimum period of 6 months, with a typical study duration extending to two years to allow for a thorough understanding and practical application of the course material.
